Why oh why can’t we have a charismatic leader of the Labour party ? I have always been doubtful about how well Keir Starmer would do taking the fight to the Tories despite the fact that there he has faced an open goal once Boris showed his true colours. Then when the then Shadow Solicitor General Ellie Reeves revealed he had lied during the period when Theresa May was desperately trying to get her Brexit deal through parliament all remaining confidence I had in him evaporated.
I have a horrible feeling that notwithstanding how horrific Liz Truss turns out to be she will beat him in the next General Election …..
